The Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce brings together approximately 1,000 businesses and organizations employing more than 20,000 local workers. As the region’s largest business advocacy organization, the Chamber helps members promote their businesses, develop valuable relationships, access practical resources and contribute to the economic vitality of Ulster County.
Promote Your Business
Chamber membership includes a variety of ways to increase your visibility and connect with local business leaders. Members also have access to additional advertising and sponsorship opportunities designed to help them reach a broader audience.
Online and Print Directory Listings
Every member receives a listing in the Chamber’s keyword-searchable online directory, including business contact information and links to active websites and email addresses. Members are also listed alphabetically and by category in the annual Community Resource Guide & Membership Directory, which is distributed throughout the region and included in relocation packets.
Members may also submit special offers, job openings and news releases for publication on the Chamber website at no additional cost.

Monthly Newsletters
ChamberNews, the Chamber’s official monthly newspaper, is distributed to approximately 15,000 Daily Freeman subscribers and is also published and archived online. The publication highlights Chamber events, new members, ribbon cuttings and stories about local businesses and organizations.
New members receive a complimentary business card-sized advertisement in ChamberNews, valued at $150. Additional advertising opportunities are available through the Daily Freeman.
Ribbon-Cutting Ceremonies
Celebrate a new business, expansion, renovation or significant anniversary with a Chamber ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Chamber helps coordinate the event, invites local officials and members of the media, and shares coverage across its social media channels. Click Here for more information.
Business Referrals
Chamber staff actively refer members and their services to businesses, residents and visitors. Members also gain visibility through links from the Chamber website, ChamberNews, networking events and the Chamber’s “Keep It Local” initiative.
Member Brochure Rack
Members may display brochures and other promotional materials at the Chamber office, where they can reach visitors, relocating residents and other local businesses. Premium advertising space is also available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Advertising Opportunities

- Community Resource Guide & Membership Directory: Advertise in the annual full-color publication distributed to Chamber members, high-traffic locations and relocation prospects, and published online.
- Website Banner Advertising: Feature your business on the Chamber homepage with a minimum three-month commitment.
- Email Blast Sponsorship: Place a banner ad in Chamber emails each week to more than 2,500 local business leaders.
- Member-to-Member Email Blast: Send a dedicated promotional email about your business or organization to the Chamber’s email audience.
- Membership Lists: Purchase an alphabetical or category-based membership list for one-time use.

Make Valuable Connections
Monthly Breakfast Meetings
Educational breakfast meetings feature respected speakers, community leaders and elected officials addressing topics that matter to the local business community.
Meetings are generally held from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at The Venue Uptown at the Kingston Regency Inn or at other locations throughout Ulster County. During election season, selected meetings become Meet the Candidates forums.
Networking Mixers
Monthly Mixers give members an informal opportunity to meet other business leaders, introduce their organizations and build new relationships. Each event is hosted at a different member location and typically includes complimentary food and beverages.
Mixers are generally held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Business Card Exchanges
Business Card Exchanges are held quarterly and offer focused networking opportunities where members can make introductions, strengthen their elevator pitches and develop new professional connections.

Chamber Ambassadors
Chamber Ambassadors are highly visible business leaders who welcome members at events, serve as liaisons and mentors, and help businesses make the most of their Chamber membership. As the Chamber’s largest standing committee, they are a vital part of its volunteer team.

ExpoMixer
This annual event is a dynamic, members-only B2B networking experience. Recognized as one of the region’s premier business events, the ExpoMixer brings together Chamber members and their guests for meaningful connections and new opportunities.
Business Recognition Awards Dinner
Each year, the Chamber recognizes businesses, organizations and individuals that have demonstrated outstanding achievement, leadership and commitment to the quality of life in Ulster County. Sponsorship opportunities are available at several levels.
Black Business Community Celebration
Presented in collaboration with community partners, this annual event recognizes outstanding Black business and community leaders and celebrates their contributions to Ulster County. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
Access Member Services
Group Health Insurance Programs
Through its partnership with Ryan & Ryan Insurance Brokers, Inc., the Chamber provides access to reduced group-rate health insurance coverage for eligible small businesses and sole proprietors. Featured providers include CDPHP and MVP.
New members must enroll within the first 30 days of membership or during the November open enrollment period.
Discount Energy Alliance
By combining the purchasing power of members from more than 17 participating Chambers of Commerce, the Discount Energy Alliance offers reduced electric and natural gas rates. Participating members may save an average of 5% to 12% on utility bills.
Labor Relations Hotline
Members may subscribe to a legal hotline for ongoing guidance on labor and employment matters from an experienced personnel law firm. A nominal annual subscription fee applies.
Certificates of Origin
Members that export products may receive Chamber-embossed and signed Certificates of Origin at no cost.
Stay Informed and Represented
The Chamber serves as a regional voice for the business community at the local, state and national levels. Chamber representatives research proposed legislation, evaluate its potential effect on local employers and communicate with appropriate public officials on issues affecting members.
