2023 Black Business Achievement Awards

Ulster County has a wealth of outstanding Black business leaders and Black-owned businesses. The Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Black History Kingston, and Ulster County Tourism are seeking to recognize the best of these at the 2023 Black Business Achievement Awards & Community Celebration.
These Awards recognize Ulster County's Black business leaders and Black-owned businesses that have demonstrated commitment, community spirit, philanthropy, or have achieved extraordinary accomplishments and is an example to others.
Sojourner Truth Award
This Award is given to a Black business leader or Black-owned business that exemplifies hard work, determination, and community spirit and has demonstrated a commitment to its employees, customers, and clients.
Everett Hodge Award
This Award goes to an outstanding local Black business leader or Black-owned business that has excelled in community spirit, philanthropy, and concern for others.
Maude Bruce Award
This Award is given to a Black individual or Black-owned organization that has improved the quality of life for the citizens of Ulster County.
Black Business Excellence Award
This Award recognizes a Black business leader or Black-owned business that has achieved extraordinary accomplishments and is an example to others.
Black Business Leadership Award
This Award is given to a Black individual or Black-owned organization that displays exceptional leadership qualities and has a history of community service.
Young Black Leader of Tomorrow
This Award is given to a young Black adult who has displayed determination, has an exceptional work ethic and an interest in pursuing a career in business or entrepreneurship.
